ScreenBreathe use case

Parental control for Android with a parent PIN

Hand over your phone with less worry. You choose what is allowed and you hold the PIN, so the phone does what you decided, even when you are not looking.

Parent-controlled · PIN-protected · Your screen-time data stays on your device

The challenge

Let your child use your phone on your terms

Choose the apps your child can use before handing over your phone. In Kids mode, allowed apps remain usable while non-allowed apps are covered by a touch-blocking overlay. You manage the setup and exit with your parent PIN.

Real-life use cases

Moments ScreenBreathe helps

Keep useful apps available while setting clear limits.

They ask to use your phone for one video while you get something done.

Add the video app to the allowed list before handing over the phone. Other apps remain visible, but Kids mode blocks interaction with them.

They tap an app you have not allowed.

If your child taps an app that is not allowed, the overlay blocks touch interaction while Kids mode is active. You decide which apps belong on the allowed list.

You do not want a child opening payment, messaging or work apps.

Leave payment, messaging and work apps off the allowed list when your child does not need them. Kids mode blocks interaction with non-allowed apps while the profile is active.

You still need the phone to be useful in an emergency.

Essential apps such as Phone, Dialer, Contacts, SMS and Clock are excluded from normal blocking rules. Check the behavior on your device before handing it over.

How ScreenBreathe helps

Choose which apps your child can use

Choose what they can use

Create a Kids profile and choose the apps that are appropriate for the moment, whether that is a learning app, a game or a video app. Your parent PIN helps you control access to the profile.

The screen stays familiar

Ghost Screen places a transparent overlay over non-allowed apps. They remain visible but cannot be interacted with while the blocking overlay is active. You choose which apps remain accessible.

Keep essential ways to reach you

Essential apps are excluded from normal blocking rules to help keep important phone functions available. The exact behavior can vary with device configuration.

Add limits when you need them

Add more boundaries with daily app limits, website blocking and Content Blocker for supported feeds inside compatible apps.

Progress you can see

Review device use together

Use a clear view of app time to guide the next conversation or adjust your rules.

See the screen-time pattern

Review daily app totals, the most-used apps and 7-, 15- or 30-day trends to see how the device is being used.

Share a clear summary

Use weekly reports and 7-, 15- or 30-day views to discuss screen-time patterns with a co-parent.

Private by design, clear about permissions

Your screen-time, focus and blocking data stays on your device. We do not run a ScreenBreathe server that receives your app activity or browsing history. ScreenBreathe asks only for the permissions the features you turn on need, and we explain each one on our permissions page.
